Help Keep an Orphan warm this winter

We don't have to watch the weather report to know that winter is truly upon us. While we casually walk over to our clothes cupboards and choose the warm layers, or get the bed ready by switching the electric blanket on, we very seldom pause to consider those in need of a warm blanket at that very moment.
Quite a while back, Solid Ground began developing a relationship with the CMR and an orphanage that is on the outskirts of the Middelburg district, called Sango Village (Near Stoffberg). Many of you may be quite familiar with their plight as the organisation battles to cope in the face of a rising number of AIDS orphans and abject poverty. Stellenbosch University has determined that the particular area that Sango Village falls within, happens to be one of the poorest regions of our country.
An initiative has been started by members of Solid Ground Church with the aim of supplying the orphanage with very good blankets for this winter season. There is an urgent appeal to everyone to donate at least one blanket to this cause. One blanket costs R80.
