Homegroup reaches out to the homeless

On Wednesday the 15th June we were inspired to reach out to people who live on the streets. Ian and Wendy suggested each one of us give a blanket, two tins of food, matches, a spoon and a packet of soya mince.
We left Ian and Wendy’s home a 6-30pm and together 17 of us including children went into a dark, cold Middelburg. Mary graciously made a large pot of soup, so each person who received a parcel also received a hot cup of soup.
A total of seventeen exposed and homeless lives were touched with the Love of Christ that evening.
One Zulu speaking man, upon receiving his parcel, stood up in gratitude and prayed in Zulu – saying thank you to the Lord as he was very hungry.
