Solid Ground Church has launched Middelburg (& surrounding areas) climbing and outdoor pursuits club. This is great news for everyone who has a little of adventure in them. The Solid Ground Rock Climbing Club aims to do the following: host regular climbing meets at the climbing wall at Solid Ground (click here for directions), organise outings and excusions that relate to rock climbing, mountaineering, hiking and mountain biking. The club is open to all ages from 6 years and upwards. Initially the club will function by informing the members of climbing times via sms & email. Once the club has a growing number of members, we will look at arranging fixed times for the climbing wall to operate on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. No previous mountaineering experience is required to join the club, as we will ensure that throughout your membership you are trained in safety procedures and good climbing practices and techniques.
