Vision & Values

Our focus is that our people be:

  1. Built toward a relationship with Jesus Christ.

  2. Built toward the vision and values of Solid Ground Church.

  3. Built toward a relationship with the elders who are responsible and must give account.

We ask those who are part of the Solid Ground family to cooperate with the eldership team and get involved in the future of Solid Ground.

It is our non-negotiable aim that the whole church moves together in one direction under Christ as head of the Church, Led by the Holy Spirit and under the guidance of the elders who have been mandated by Christ to “direct the affairs of the church” (1 Timothy 5:17), and to shepherd the flock of God “as men who must give an account.” (Hebrews 13:17)

OUR VISION / PURPOSE

Helping people find their way back to God

Our culture in Solid Ground is defined by the things we value most: We take our six values from Ephesians 4:11-16

1. The Word of God – Jesus is God’s Word to man revealed in human form

2. Biblical Church Government (Vs 11)(Philippians 1:1-2)

a) Trans-Local Apostolic team: At Solid Ground we relate to the Trans-local Apostolic men and invite them in, to build into the life of the church.

b) Elders: “The Elders direct the affairs of the church” (1 Timothy 5:17)

c) Deacons: Deacons represent the elders before the people.

3. Team – Working together as a “Priesthood of all believers” (Vs 12 & 16)

4. Unity in the church – This is what Jesus prayed for in John 17

5. Growing into Maturity as a Christian (Vs 15)

6. Christ Centered / Kingdom (Vs 15) – Our main goal is to point people to Christ.

OTHER KEY VALUES IN SOLID GROUND

7. Gathering Believers (Hebrews 10:25) – Through Sunday Services, Home Groups (Acts 2:46), Prayer Meetings (Thursdays 18:00 – 18:45), The Tribe Youth Meetings (Friday Evenings (19:00 – 21:00), and Coolkidz (Sundays)

8. A Heart for the Nations – At Solid Ground we will always invest both people and resources into going to the nations.

9. Praise & worship – Worship as a lifestyle.

10. Generosity – being generous with your Time, your Talents and your Money.

11. Covenant Relationships – Friendship before Function: We are not just acquaintances.

12. Purity – Have a passion for holiness: Hate sin!
